Santa Clara University, Leavey School of Business
Located in the midst of the world's greatest concentration of technological
and scientific talent, within one of the most dynamic economic climates
and competitive marketplaces, Santa Clara University's Leavey School
of Business is the heart of Silicon Valley in more ways than one.
The
energy that fuels Silicon Valley illuminates our classrooms and
inspires our students, resonates within our faculty, permeates our
curriculum, shapes our graduates, and underscores our commitment
to quality instruction, rigorous inquiry, and high performance expectations.
We are proud to be a Jesuit Business School, taking seriously the
education of the whole person. Although our alumni lead organizations
diverse in size, structure and strategy, they share the common goal
of creating value for their communities.
Our MBA Students
Since its inception in 1961, Santa Clara's Evening MBA program has
supplied the region's businesses with employees who are well grounded
in graduate business study and whose skills are sought by the largest
employers in Silicon Valley. Graduates of the Leavey School of Business
lead more than 25% of the fastest-growing high tech companies in
Silicon Valley.
Most
Evening MBA students are working professionals, forming a broad
network of contacts within some of the leading companies in the
region. Along with their studies, MBA students invest time in student
groups such as the MBA Student Association and the MBA Women in
Business Club. Santa Clara University's year-round admission and
completion schedule for MBAs allows for ongoing recruitment.
In
addition to Evening MBA students, we also have the Saturday MBA
program, Executive MBA program, and the newly-created MSIS program.
While these programs have a smaller number of students than the
evening program, they all receive the same commitment to stellar
academic training and a majority of them work at the top companies
around Silicon Valley.
Graduate Business Career Services
Graduate Business Career Services assists Leavey School of Business
students and alumni with career assessment, exploration and professional
job-search strategies appropriate to their academic background,
employment experience and career goals. Our Career Services office
will also guide employers through the recruitment process and will
serve as their liaison to the graduate business student population.
Building Relationships with our Graduate Business Students and Alumni
SCU's Graduate Business Career Services is dedicated to building
and maintaining strong relationships with Bay Area employers. As
mentioned above, many of our students are working full-time while
enrolled in our program. However, some are looking to change their
careers during or after the course of the program and some are full-time
students looking for the next career opportunity.
There
are many ways for employers to target the graduate business students.
Because most of our students are working professionals and classes
in our graduate business programs meet at 5:30, 7:05 and 8:30 PM
respectively, most events with employers need to be planned either
in the morning, evening, or on a Saturday. Please consider these
potential events when planning your MBA recruiting efforts at Santa
Clara. Click on the links below for more information:
