Graduate Business Career Services
: Overview and Mission
Career
Services offers consulting services, skill development programs,
recruiting events and other resources to facilitate career planning
and job search. Students and alumni are encouraged to take advantage
of these opportunities to increase marketability by clarifying their
career objectives, developing effective resumes, learning job search
skills, and expanding their network of contacts.
Our
mission is to:
- Assist students and alumni in identifying their unique skills,
values and interests
- Assist students and alumni in exploring career and academic
options to best match their career and life plans.
- Educate and coach students and alumni in job search and career
management strategies.
- Foster a strong liaison role with the academic and business
community to facilitate the ongoing integration of academics with
industry experience.
- Promote and maintain positive relations with employers in the
business, industry, nonprofit, government and educational communities
to develop employment opportunities for students and alumni.

Career Services Scope of Offerings:
- Career Consultation on all aspects of career planning and job
search from self-assessment to evaluating and accepting offers.
- Career Development Workshops with sessions including job search
strategy, networking techniques, resume writing, interviewing
skills, salary negotiations, and effective career management.
- Career Fairs and On-campus Interviewing Schedules
- Round Table and Panel Discussions on relevant career topics.
- Access to Alumni Network contacts in a variety of functions,
companies, and industries for informational interviews.
